Phoenix & Providence Skincare began in the sea. A sense of clarity, self-connection and glowing skin that I never find anywhere else but from a dip in the ocean.
In the depths of winter, time in nature is harder to come by. A swim in the sea feels more of a snatched moment between gales, bundled in layers to warm up. However, the darker days of January provide an opportunity for rest. Our skincare is infused with vitamin rich seaweed foraged from the crystal-clear waters of the Isles of Scilly. Whilst it may not replace the actual feeling of being by, in, or near the sea, our products provide a moment of rejuvenation, leaving your skin soft and glowing.
Here is an invitation to create your own Sanctuary of the Sea Self- Care Day…
If you would like some inspiration, here is how you could spend your day. Of course, you can change and alter to include any activities (or lack of!) that give you a deep sense of rest.
Sanctuary of the Sea Self- Care Day
Begin with a hot drink and your journal or a notepad. Write a letter yourself, where are you now? What are your hopes for the year ahead?
Take a shower with our Ennor Seaweed & Body Scrub. Massage the scrub into damp skin to simultaneously exfoliate and moisturise skin.
Follow with our Daily Skincare Duo. Massage two pumps of cleansing oil into dry skin, splash with warm water and remove with a washcloth. Whilst skin is still damp, massage 4-5 drops of Nurture Face Oil into your skin.
Take a walk outside. Keep an eye out for a keepsake to bring home, such as a flower in bloom or a dried seed head.
Make yourself a delicious lunch, preferably something that would last a few days, an act of self-care for future you.
Spend a little time decluttering your bedside area to promote a sense of calm. Perhaps add a small posy of flowers or pop what you collected on your morning walk into a vase.
Read a book or watch one of your favourite films.
After dinner, take some time to enjoy our Innis Seaweed & Clay Face Mask to deeply cleanse and refresh your skin. For the 10 minutes your face mask is drying, follow our guided relaxation to enhance your feeling of rest.
Before you head to bed, write down everything you feel grateful for right now and spend some time setting yourself an intention, either for tomorrow, or the month or year ahead.
